A famous Nephew
Carol Fowler

Fowler
Carol Fowler contributed this picture of St Patricks Juniors, park place. This photo dates back from 1960 and shows the headmaster and two teachers of the school with the kids.

If anyone recognises the children - please let us know!

When compiling the history section we discovered that a lot of Liverpool celebrities were from this area - and sure enough the name Fowler was not a coincidence, as Robbie Fowler is her nephew!

Views of Dingle
Margaret Henry in the Japanese garden at the garden festival
Margaret
Henry
Margaret Henry was the midwife for the Dingle area from 1958 - or Nurse Henry as she's known!

She provided these views of Dingle from the top of the Flour Mill on Mill street. Margaret remembers when there used to be a wooden windmill there originally, before it sadly burned down.

Also pictured is Liverpool FC's bus passing the Queens on park road after winning the cup.

Margaret also gave us a photo of the Mill house and lodge. Mr Dean was the Lodge Keeper, and he also played the trumpet in the Sailor's Chapel silver band.

Ryan
Tony Ryan emailed us with this picture of a nativity play. The photo was taken about 1968/69, and was the infants christmas play. he thinks they were doing Old Macdonalds Farm.

Tony was Old Macdonald in it, and he's in the back row, with the top hat.

Accoring to Tony, "The only other person who has owned up to being on there, is Don Vaughn, he used to live in the flats on the corner of Park Street and Milly. The other photo is of my wife and me, I live in Buckinghamshire now, which is where my wife is from, been downhere 15 years now, but still get home occasionally."
